Mistress has been awarded the marketing account for American Apparel’s wholesale division, following a competitive review.

Mistress’s first work for the brand will target designer and decorator clients along with wholesale distributors through a campaign across both traditional and digital media.

Founded in 1989, American Apparel is known across the globe for its ethically made, sweatshop free clothing and has developed a strong following among millennials.

“American Apparel is an icon that has inspired generations,” stated Blake E. Marquis, executive creative director at Mistress. “We are totally proud to be relaunching this iconic brand within printwear markets globally; a brand that is synonymous with Los Angeles and ethically made, sweatshop free apparel.”
